The Raleigh area finally escaped from the Folsom Prison syndrome... "haven't seen the sunshine since I don't know when." A few clouds graced the morning sky, bringing a nice view at sunrise proper, above (better large on black), and a tasty gradation of blues during mid-twilight, below (also better LOB). Lots of clouds in the Raleigh area this morning, but not much interaction with the sun's early rays. There were a few real clouds in the Raleigh area early morning sky, but most of what we saw as the sun broke the horizon, above (and better large on black), were contrails. The mid twilight view, below (LOB), featured more of those real clouds and fewer jet-exhaust related features. A wider post-rise view is at the bottom (again, better LOB). All in all, a sweet sunrise!
