Cloud cover was building in the Raleigh area during the hour before sunrise, offering a softly colorful and very satisfying mid-twilight view, above (and better large on black). And when it did top the treeline, below (also better large on black), the sun spent only a few minutes at the horizon before disappearing behind the thickening clouds. Sweet sunrise views!
