The Raleigh area had abundant cloud cover this morning, but the sun's rays still found their way through to illuminate the cloud base, seen here about ten minutes before sunrise proper (and better large on black). Ten minutes after sunrise, below (and better LOB), the sun briefly peeked through a thin but well-placed seam in the clouds. Great fun!
