Last night the weatherman said clouds would start to drift in to the Raleigh area around 8:00 this morning... so I fell asleep thinking I would forego the plane-Jane sunrise and and sleep in for a change. Big mistake: woke up at 7:05 and glanced out the window to see a sky full of clouds that were absolutely on fire! Dashed downstairs, threw a tripod on the kitchen table and caught this late twilight view through the trees (better large on black). The take-away: treat even a slim chance for that sweet shot as if it was a great chance and plan accordingly!
