As the humidity starts to rise in the Raleigh area, the intensity of summer's purple haze starts to increase. Sitting there behind the tripod, two other signs of summer's approach were noted this morning: the faint chirp of the season's first cricket nearby, and, somewhat less charming, the first mosquito overhead. No matter... as this view (better large on black) at sunrise proper attests - it was a very satisfying, and, yes, sweet sunrise event.
