Abundant cloud cover in the Raleigh area this morning provided a great palette for the colorful and very satisfying post-rise view, above (and better large on black). Until it actually emerged from the dense haze at the horizon, below (again, better LOB), it looked very doubtful that the sun would be seen around sunrise proper. Sweet sunrise event!
