Feeder bands from a now-distant hurricane Arthur were still visiblle far the northeast this morning in the Raleigh area sky, making for an interesting early twilight view, above (and better large on black). The view at sunrise proper, below (also better LOB), gives no such hint of the powerful force of nature that visited the coastal communities of North Carolina in the wee hours of this 4th of July morning. Very different but still sweet Independence Day views.
