It looked like a conflagration of gothic proportions in the Morehead City area this morning during late twilight (better large on black), with the water front homes along Bogue Sound in the foreground. The view a few minutes after sunrise proper, below (also better LOB), exploited the the cloud cover, offering a classic over-the-water (Bogue Sound) sunrise from the Channel Marker on the Atlantic Beach causeway. Sweet sunrise!
